Zack Snyder Watchmen Preview
By Thomas Leupp
Today, 300 director Zack Snyder graciously took some time out of his busy promotional schedule to talk to ReelzChannel.com about his highly-anticipated upcoming project, Watchmen.
Few projects arouse as much fanboy excitement as the film adaptation of Alan Moore's acclaimed graphic novel, and discussion boards were abuzz this week with the discovery of an image of a Watchmen character, Rorschach, embedded in the recently released R-rated trailer for 300. Much speculation ensued regarding the image's origins.
While chatting before our interview shoot, Snyder confirmed that the image of Rorschach inserted into trailer was indeed his handiwork.
Snyder is aiming for a Fall 2008 release of Watchmen, though he conceded that the studio, buoyed by the anticipated success of 300, is growing increasingly fond of a March 2009 release date.
Check in next week for ReelzChannel.com's full-length video interview with Snyder.
