Life at the London Film Festival

The Times BFI 51st annual London Film Festival schedule will be taking over the British capital from Oct. 17 to Nov. 1. 

184 features and 133 shorts will be shown at the festival, which will also include TCM Screen Talks with Wes Anderson and Laura Linney, a Masterclass with Steve Buscemi, panel discussions, an outdoor screen in Trafalgar Square, and more.

And of course, all the big buzz films will be there: The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford, Juno, Into the Wild, The Diving Bell and the Butterfly, I'm Not There, Lions for Lambs, Lust, Caution, Reservation Road, Sicko and Things We Lost in the Fire.

David Cronenberg's Eastern Promises will open, Wes Anderson's The Darjeeling Limited will close, and Tom Cruise's Lions for Lambs will be having its world premiere.

The festival has also attracted an impressive roster of celebrity guests in association with the screenings of their movies, including:

--Things We Lost in the Fire: Halle Berry and Sam Mendes

--Into the Wild: Sean Penn and Emile Hirsch

--Juno: Jason Reitman and Allison Janney

--Grace is Gone: John Cusack

--Enchanted: Patrick Dempsey, James Marsden and Amy Adams

--The Savages: Laura Linney

--Interview: Steve Buscemi and Sienna Miller
