ReelzChannel sat down recently with Ludacris and Mila Kunis to talk about Max Payne, an action film based on the hit video game.

ReelzChannel: How was it working on Max Payne? What made you decide to take this on?

Ludacris: It was great working on it. I just wanted to be able to point a gun at Mark Wahlberg -- that's why I signed on to do this movie. I think it was great.

RC: You just wanted to get down to the truth?

Ludacris: Exactly.

RC: Is it difficult bouncing back and forth from life to a character?

Ludacris: Man, ya know what? That's why I don't mix the two, ya know what I mean? If I'm doing music, I'm doing music. When it comes to doing a role and acting in a movie, I want 100 percent focus on that. So, it's not that hard. It's just about focusing it at different times, and making sure you give 100 percent. And I felt like I did that.

RC: How was it playing a Russian femme fatale?

Kunis: Um...different. Ya know, it's definitely out of my comfort zone -- way out of my comfort zone. Like, if this is my comfort zone, it was way over there. I have no idea. I hope I didn't blow it for all the fans, and I hope that they're all pleasantly surprised.

RC: And you're on a mission, much like Max Payne...

Kunis: Actually, they're both very similar characters. They're both very cold. Max Payne -- his wife and daughter get murdered, and he becomes this almost cold-hearted human being that's just looking out for revenge, and has nothing else to live for. I think Mona Sax is very similar to that. After losing her sister, she kind of just goes numb. I think they're both lost souls just trying to find purpose, and trying to find a reason in life.

RC: How was it working with Mark?

Ludacris: It was cool working with him, man. I think that the guy, his resume speaks for itself. He usually plays either the cop or the criminal. So this time he's kind of both. It was good, ya know, learning from him. I think that he's great, man. He's very humble. He's very focused, very professional, so you gotta pick stuff like that...

Kunis: Yeah, I think he made a very one-dimensional character very layered. If you play the game, the character is just depressed, and a heroine addict in the video game. I think Mark is a brilliant actor and made this character come to life, made him be sympathetic and vulnerable, yet tough, and all these things. Working with him is great. You couldn't ask for a better costar. He's everything you would want.

RC: He seems very dedicated...

Kunis: Absolutely. He's passionate. He's professional. He's everything you'd want in a costar.

RC: How was it filming with the big flakes floating around?

Kunis: It was disgusting. If it's a big flake then it was usually candle wax. If you swallow it, it is gross. I will tell you, most of the snow in the film is 100 percent real. There's certain times where it had to be added on to the real snow. Oh, it tastes so disgusting. Ask Mark. There are times when I started coughing up snow 'cause it just doesn't melt in your mouth. It's just waxy, and you have to wear masks.

Ludacris: This is what you get paid for.

RC: How was it working with director John Moore?

Ludacris: He's very passionate about his job. If you have a good take, you're gonna hear it out loud. Like, "Yeah!" And if it's not good, you're gonna hear a slightly different sound.

RC: Can you two tell me anything about your upcoming projects?

Kunis: We wrapped [Extract] today. Today was the last day...really funny. I gotta tell you, it's gonna be so good. [Jason] Bateman plays an extract factory owner. I play this pathological liar who's a kleptomaniac, who comes and screws everything up, and ends up seducing Bateman, who hires a gigolo to seduce his wife. And [Ben] Affleck plays this brilliantly douche best friend. The whole movie is so funny.

RC: So, is the studio going to give it a chance?

Kunis: It's backed by Mirimax. I think people realize Mike Judge's humor finally. It's very much in the vein of Office Space. I think it's so funny. I mean, I'm telling you, I've seen dailies. I've seen things. It's so good. So, so, so good.

RC: Anything you can say about Game?

Ludacris: The Game, man. It's gonna be very interesting. Futuristic action thriller. Gerard Butler is the star; of course, I'm in there. If you can imagine people playing other people as real video games...that's just scratching the surface. Extremely crazy this movie's gonna be.
