With the release of High School Musical 3, the hit Disney Channel series makes a move to the big screen. Recently, ReelzChannel sat down to talk with stars Ashley Tisdale and Vanessa Hudgens.

ReelzChannel: In this High School Musical, it seems everything is bigger. Did you guys feel that way?

Tisdale: Yeah. The musical numbers are so much bigger then in the first two movies and our wardrobes have definitely changed from the first two movies, as well. I mean they're more fashionable, especially for all the characters. And it's exciting. Dancing was harder, obviously, 'cause we were trying to step it up. But you know, [Vanessa] did the waltz with Zac -- did it beautifully. I think the cha-cha-cha was probably the hardest for me, which was the prom number. But yeah, everything is pretty big in this movie. It's on the big screen so, you know, why not?

RC: Speaking of the waltz, I heard it was Zac's most difficult dance. But you helped him, right?

Hudgens: Yeah, he actually picked it up really quick. He doesn't give himself enough credit. It was a good team effort. It was a lot harder then I thought it would be but I feel like it's a really great number -- you know, it's kind of throwback to the old classics so it was really fun.

RC: As young actresses that are multi-talented, do you guys have these older actresses that you look up to?

Tisdale: I love other actors and musicians and artists but I never really looked up to anyone in particular. If anything, I really looked up to my mom -- she's very confident. She's made me very confident growing up and always taught me to never give up in life on anything. So that's who I think is my role model, my mom. But really, people always ask, Whose path would you like to follow? I'm setting my own path. That's more exciting then trying to follow somebody else's footsteps.

Hudgens: I've always been a huge fan of Natalie Wood. I think she's this classy woman. She's been able to do both -- movies that don't involve music and amazing musicals as well, so I've always looked up to her.

RC: Vanessa, I always heard this movie was special for you cause you were home schooled so you didn't get to wear a cap and gown or go to the prom. So does this make up for it?

Hudgens: Oh yeah, definitely. High School Musical has been my high school experience. I got to go to a prom for the first time, and do it with people that I love, and graduate and wear a cap and gown for the very first time, so it's been a lot of fun. I never thought that I would have the most amazing time on this project.

RC: You guys also got to travel for the premiere of High School Musical around the world. How was that?

Tisdale: It's amazing. They're so passionate everywhere we went to, the fans were just so excited for us to be there.... That's really when you feel like, "Wow, this is humongous." People can talk about it and say how the DVD sales are and you get it, but you don't really grasp it until you're actually there face-to-face with the fans and they all have the universal scream, even when they all speak different languages. But they're just so passionate about it and so supportive. It's amazing.

RC: Vanessa, your motion picture debut was Thirteen. When you look back on that, did you imagine yourself at this stage?

Hudgens: I never would have imagined it. I remember auditioning for that movie. It was my very first audition for a movie. I watched it just recently and I was like, "Oh my gosh! That's what that movie is actually about." 'Cause I had no idea when I was doing it. But it's amazing. You know, I've always loved musicals. I grew up watching them and the fact that we got to bring it back to kids is something I'm really proud about.
