Movies with 85+ Ratings from the BFCA

The Broadcast Film Critics Association, the largest film critics organization in the United States and Canada, represents 199 television, radio, and online critics. Their 14th Annual Critics' Choice Awards will be broadcast live on VH1 from the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium on Thursday, January 8, 2009. Here are the nominees. As a sneak peek, below are the films that have earned an 85+ rating.

Frost/Nixon -- BFCA Score: 94

An on-air battle of wits ensues when former President Richard Nixon (Frank Langella) selects British TV personality David Frost (Michael Sheen) for an exclusive post-Watergate interview.

Milk -- BFCA Score: 92

An aging wrestler (Mickey Rourke) tries to reconnect with his estranged daughter and get his battered body in shape for a rematch of one of his most-lauded fights.

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button -- BFCA Score: 91

Benjamin Button (Brad Pitt) is born an old man in 1918 New Orleans and ages in reverse and, in so doing, becomes intimately familiar with the natures of love and death.

Waltz With Bashir -- BFCA Score: 86

A friend's recurring nightmare prompts filmmaker Ari Folman to explore his own suppressed memories as a soldier during the 1982 Lebanon conflict. Animated.

Doubt -- BFCA Score: 85

Suspicions of child abuse fuel a traditionalist nun's (Meryl Streep) personal crusade against a popular priest (Philip Seymour Hoffman) who wants to reform her school's strict customs.
