The Fallen: The title character is an ancient robot who's sort of like the Transformers' version of Lucifer. He's one of the original robot aliens and his defiance and arrogance led to banishment in another dimension. The screenwriters say that The Fallen holds the key to life on both Earth and Cybertron, the Transformers' home planet. |
Starscream: An F-22 Raptor and second in command while Megatron was leader, Starscream flew off into space at the end of the previous movie. He returns in RotF bearing Cybertronian symbols on his body and commanding a powerful new Decepticon army. |
Sideways: New to the line-up is a dark gray Audi R8 named Sideways. He’s a simple courier who avoids combat and hides behind larger Decepticons. The Autobots discover him in Shanghai with Demolisher. He'll be taken on, and out, by Sideswipe in RotF. |
Scorpinok: The scorpion-like Decepticon Scorpinok was nearly destroyed in the first movie. In RotF he is the minion of Grindor, an MH-53 Pave Low helicopter. After Lennox killed Blackout (the attack helicopter from the 2007 Transformers movie), Scorpinok hid in the desert and licked his wounds. Now, fully repaired, he's teamed up with a new Decepticon who is virtually a clone of his previous heli-partner. |
Soundwave: Megatron's intelligence officer, Soundwave transforms into a Cybertronian jet-like aircraft. In the 1980's toyline, Soundwave's alternate mode was a micro-cassette player, but the moviemakers thought that he deserved a much cooler update than becoming an MP3 player. |
Ravage: A beast-like tracker bot and minion of Soundwave, Ravage resembles a large one-eyed jaguar that transforms into a missile. In the RotF plotline, Ravage is sent to Earth by Soundwave to steal a shard of the Allspark which is used to bring Megatron back online. Ravage later appears in Egypt where he hunts down Sam Witwicky. Watch for a battle between Ravage and Bumblebee in the movie. |
The Doctor: A spider-like torture droid that Shia LaBeouf will endure. Ouch! |
Wheelie: A tiny spybot, Wheelie is a toy-sized RC Truck sent to spy on Sam Witwicky. While following Sam's girlfriend Mikaela Banes, Wheelie stumbles onto a mousetrap and is discovered. Enamored with Mikaela, he becomes her pet and actually switches sides to help them translate the Primes' language. |
Demolishor: This giant bruiser is a red Terex O&K RH 400 hydraulic mining excavator. Demolishor is the protector of a small Decepticon community in Shanghai and the one seen running through an overpass in the trailers. Get ready for a battle royale between Demolishor and Optimus Prime in the new movie.
The Constructicons: A combination of seven robots (Scavenger, Scrapper, Hightower, Longhaul, Rampage, Overload, and Mixmaster) who transform into construction machinery. They can also link up with one another to form one gigantic robot named Devastator. |
Megatron: While Optimus' archenemy seems to have been killed off in the first movie, we have it on good authority that he'll make an appearance towards the end of RotF in a new tank form. |
