• Heath Ledger autopsy results

  The New York medical examiner's office has reported that Heath Ledger's death was the result of an accidental overdose.

  Autopsy results showed that a lethal mixture of prescription medications were responsible for the young actor's demise. Present in his system at the time of his death were oxycodone, hydrocodone, diazepam, temazepam, alprazolam and doxylamine.

  Translation: hydrocodone and oxycodone are both basically types of Vicodin (painkillers); diazepam, temazepam and alprazolam are all types of Valium (anti-anxiety/sleep meds); and doxylamine is the active ingredient found in Nyquil and over-the-counter sleep aids like Unisom.

  It appears as though Ledger took none of the individual medications to excess, but rather the combination proved unwittingly fatal.

  Ledger's family returned home to Australia yesterday for his funeral.

  Heath may his soul rest in peace. This is a terrible and heart breaking lost. I am sure his heart sores in heaven watching his girl with out his dad. This is a lesson to all of us. And why in the heck he has too much prescrip. i hope this is not from 1 doc's prescription. We need to limit refills and qty. gives us access to possible meds mixes...For Michelle- my hearth goes out to you...such young parents and more to live for... and for Heath's family-from our family we send our condolence. It will take time to heal. Just focus on Matilda and be surrounded by family and good friends for support day to day... Heath

  This is such a tragedy it is such a sad situation. Heath had so much going for him very very good person. But it saddens me when I read that his life was a waste. How could one say such a thing he had achieved a great deal and touched so many lives. If his life was a waste then he would have touched not a soul. It saddens me a great deal that something as simple as mixing drugs took this young mans life. As far as persons making up there mind about him being a drug user just because he was famous doesn't mean that was is life style. In our society there are so many different religions that all clearly so do not judge apon others and this is waht you are doing. Have you thought about his family or friends. What about his daughter she does not need to hear or see these types of things when she grows up. She will or will not remember her father and all you are doing is putting bad in her minnd. God rest you health and I pray that your family and friends make through this a stonger unit.

  Many people were quick to label him a drug addict!!! Especially one doctor i saw on et or access hollywood,( can't remember which one). Anyway He was saying things like oh how sad it is or his family especially Matilda his daughter to live with the knowledge of the facts surrounding his death, the drugs. But this is what i belive happened and know i can't know for sure, but He must have been dealing with a lot of sleeplessness.Now with allthese different types of meds. he just He most likely couldn't deal with the fame in general. I thought he was a great actor an d.My heart goes out to his family.

  What a waste. Heath had so much potential going on in his career and he didn't even peak yet. It's so sad to hear of his death. He was just messing with the wrong meds all together. But I didn't notice something quite odd about him. Every time I watched an interview of his, he always had this nervous compulsive behavior like he wasn't comfortable. But anyway R.I.P. Heath Ledger. You will be remembered.

    I totally agree!! And yes i also do remember seeing him in different interviews and noticed the same thing. In one of his interviews he was talking about like being at the top and where would you go from here!! so i think fame and trying to handle it had a lot to do with his anxiety. I 'll never believe he took his own life,I believe he turned to medication and wasn't well informed on how not to take it.
