Producers of Lonely Hearts, a new indie thriller starring John Travolta, Salma Hayek and James Gandolfini, are employing a novel release strategy that could be a sign of things to come for the movie industry.
In addition to opening in select theaters this Friday, Lonely Hearts will be made available for download on cstar.com very soon thereafter, bypassing traditional window of release rules once considered sacrosanct by Hollywood.
