Astute observers of the "in Memoriam" montage during last night's Academy Awards® telecast may have noticed the conspicuous absence of Brad Renfro, the troubled young actor who died of a heroin overdose in January, a week before Heath Ledger's untimely passing. According to US Magazine, it was simply an "editing decision" by the Academy to leave the Apt Pupil star out Oscar's annual tribute; they simply "couldn't fit everyone in." 2007, apparently, was an especially morbid year for Hollywood.
