In a continuing effort to likely get over being beaten up for his lunch money as a child, Edward Norton has taken the role as Bruce Banner in The Incredible Hulk.
Norton has a long history of trying to play against type, with roles such as neo-Nazi Derek Vinyard in American History X and the pumped-up, black-eye-happy narrator in Fight Club. Although recently it had appeared he had gone back to
his roots, with angry but effete characters in movies like The Painted Veil and The Illusionist.
Norton will be reprising the role that meaty Australian-born/Eastern-European-bred Eric Bana played in Ang Lee's 2003 Hulk. This sequel, in which Bruce Banner is on the run trying to cure his hulk-like condition, will be directed by Louis Leterrier.
You can paint Norton as green as you want, I still say I can take him.
