Given all of the other '70s and '80s titles that have been dragged out of storage, re-tooled and plastered on the big screen over the last decade, it seemed inevitable that Buck Rogers, the swingin' space cowboy who cruised the galaxy for three seasons on NBC from 1979-1981 (and in numerous comic books and movie serials in the decades prior), would get his shot. IGN Movies reports that Nu Image/Millennium Films, the folks behind the recent Rambo revival and the upcoming Conan the Barbarian reboot, are moving forward with a new Buck Rogers movie, with Frank Miller -- yes, the same Frank Miller who gave us Sin City, The Dark Knight Returns and various other dark, cynical and intensely violent graphic novels -- slated to direct.
Can't wait to see how this one turns out.
