  • Will Nicolas Cage Go Full Frontal in a Bad Lieutenant Remake?

Nic CageBoy, the remakes are coming in faster than ever these days. Case in point: Variety reports that Nicolas Cage has signed on to star in an update of 1992's Bad Lieutenant, a film perhaps best known for featuring star Harvey Keitel entirely in the buff. That, along with various other adult-themed elements (two words: nun rape), helped the original earn an NC-17 rating -- instantly making it a must-watch for mischievous junior-high kids everywhere.

Even more strange than the timing of the Bad Lieutenant remake, however, is its choice of director: Werner Herzog, the eccentric (read: crazy) German filmmaker of Fitzcarraldo fame.

Seriously, this one's almost too good to be true. Don't expect Cage to repeat Keitel's legendary full frontal nude scene, however. Remember, this is the same guy who turned comic book bad boy Ghost Rider into a jellybean-eating, Carpenters-loving wuss. We'll be lucky if the Bad Lieutenant remake is edgy enough to garner a PG-13 rating.

Um... I'm fairly sure nun rape is more than an "adult-themed element." Disgusting.

And let me speak for many, many people everywhere. The only thing we'd like to see less than nun rape is Nick Cage naked.
