Transformers director Michael Bay's Platinum Dunes production company has inked a deal for a movie based on the Ouija Board, says The Hollywood Reporter. A fixture of tween slumber parties since the early 1800s, the game involves players placing their fingers on "a small planchette that mysteriously moves to letters and numbers in order to spell out messages from beyond the earthly realm."
Script details are not yet available, but something tells me the story involves a Ouija game gone horribly, horribly wrong. Producers insist, however, that the movie will not be like Jumanji. Whew.
