  • SAG to Grant Waivers to Indie Films in Event of Strike

The Screen Actors Guild (SAG) has agreed to allow actors to sign waivers to continue working on any independent films they are already shooting should a strike take place come June 30.

The waivers provide that the movies that keep shooting must agree in advance to whatever the final terms of the SAG deal is. According to Variety, studios expect to reach an agreement before it comes to a strike situation. However, should that happen, the indies will likely still be in business.
