The animated family comedy Kung Fu Panda dominated the box office over the weekend, earning $60 million and scoring an easy victory over You Don't Mess With the Zohan. Adam Sandler's latest comedy was certainly no slouch, however, taking in a respectable $40 million in its debut.
Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull took third place with a $23 million tally, boosting its overall domestic gross to $253 million in just over three weeks. Last week's box office champ, Sex and the City, slid to fourth place with a $21 million take in its second week in theaters. Rounding out the top five was the home-invasion horror The Strangers, which took in just over $9 million.
