At a recent press day for his upcoming comedy Step Brothers, we were able to persuade Will Ferrell to part with a few details about his highly anticipated adaptation of Land of the Lost.
"I think it's a great blend of paying homage to the show mixed with what I think could be a different genre, this kind of adventure comedy where we really use the adventure to set up the comedy and we're able to comment on these situations that you would love to see characters comment on," Ferrell said.
He also suggested the movie will do appropriate justice to the original show: "I hope we did. [Sid and Marty Kroft] were on set every single day to make sure." p>
When asked what we can expect in the way of special effects, Ferrell couldn't resist a wisecrack. "We did claymation," he retorted. "Remember Davey and Goliath? The old animated show for kids? And a lot of tinfoil. I would sculpt dinosaur models out of tinfoil. Universal's pissed right now." p>
