That's the word on the street. Despite
overwhelmingly positive early buzz (8 out of 10 from 223 users on IMDB), Clive
Barker's Midnight Meat Train, directed by Ryuhei Kitamura, is going to be
difficult to find in theaters. Horror site Bloody-Disgusting.com is reporting
that Lionsgate is dumping the flick into second-run movie houses around the
nation on August 1st, although a quick search on Fandango here in Los Angeles
shows no theaters playing the movie in the immediate area.
The tactic Lionsgate is employing on this release
is unclear, but Bloody-Disgusting is urging fans to write a letter to Lionsgate
demanding that they get the chance to experience Midnight Meat Train in a
proper movie house. They are also offering an updated list of the random theaters playing the movie. Fans living in Provo, UT or Wichita, KS might just be in luck...
