Decisions, decisions. As we head into the dog days of the summer movie season once again, pickings are getting slimmer and slimmer. This weekend sees no less than four major releases hitting theaters, but are any of them worth your time? Not so much if you believe our reviews of Death Race, House Bunny or The Rocker. Those three titles along with the other major release, the Ice
Cube feel good dramedy The Longshots, all score less than 41 percent on Rottentomatoes.com.
If you're lucky enough to live in one of the 103 cities where the comedy Hamlet 2 is opening, that one earned a respectable 61 percent on Rottentomatoes.
Should you decide to opt for a night in, may we recommend the recently released DVD and little seen The Life Before Her Eyes starring Uma Thurman and Evan Rachel Wood which Heather Huntington says "will blow your mind and have you talking hours after you leave the theater." You can read more in her full Life Before Her Eyes review.
Looking on to next weekend, Traitor has some strong early buzz and an impressive cast that includes Don Cheadle and Guy Pearce. Here's hoping.
