Paul Haggis, the heavy-handed Crash scribe credited with revitalizing the James Bond franchise with his work on the Casino Royale script, has signed on to help write the follow-up, reports the Los Angeles Times.
The latest Bond flick, currently known as Bond 22, is still without a director. According to the Times, there are four helmers vying for the job: Tony Scott (Deja Vu), Jonathan Mostow (Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines), Marc Forster (Monster's Ball) and Alex Proyas (I, Robot).
Not exactly a director's Hall of Fame (save for Forster, who has done fantastic work in the dramatic realm).
Bond 22 is slated for a November 2008 release.
