• Magnum P.I. Casting Search Continues

  Producer Brian Grazer has dismissed the rumor that Matthew McConaughey will play the lead in the upcoming Magnum P.I. movie adaptation, produced by his company, Imagine Entertainment. With a script and director Rawson Thurber (Dodgeball) already on board, casting has been the project's biggest problem. Grazer told MTV: "I think the idea for 'Magnum P.I.' is to find a counterpoint, to not try and find the new Tom Selleck but to find someone that is just so different that you go, oh my God! That guy is Magnum?!?" Sorry Matthew, apparently you're too Tom Selleck-y

  Our dream casting: Mad Men's Jon Hamm as Magnum, The Office's Craig Robinson as T.C., Pineapple Express' Danny McBride as Rick, and Rowan Atkinson as Higgins.

  Magnum P.I. casting, mostly Twilight style: Robert Pattinson as Magnum, Edi Gathegi as T.C., Peter Facinelli as Rick, and Bea Arthur as Higgins.

  I have an awesome idea, this is a far out idea but how about having Tom Selleck play Magnum, you know the guy who does the Jessie Stone movies on TV. I know that sounds outrageous and almost unbelievable but why not. Who better to play Magnum then Tom Selleck? I think he would make a great Magnum. What about casting Rodger Mosely to play TC, I know it’s far fetched but just may work. Another idea is to have an actor named John Hillerman to play Higgins; “I know what you are thinking”, that’s just crazy. I remember in the late 70’s watching a show called the “Black Sheep Squadron”. It had an actor I think named Larry Manetti, don’t you think that would be awesome if he played Rick? We can see what Magnum is up too these day’s. Did he make Navy SEAL Captain, how’s his daughter (is she hot), and has he finally assassinated Quan Ki (?). Didn’t the creator of Magnum also create JAG and NCIS? Why not have some of those characters appear in cameo to make it a little more interesting. I think that Mark Harmon would make a great NCIS Special Agent. So many idea’s to continue into the future and they take a step back and will probable make Magnum into some stupit goofy version of the show like Starski and Hutch.
