Book adaptations are a tricky business. And when you've got a loyal fanbase that's practically memorized every word, the challenge can be daunting. Or at least it should be.
We were expecting to see a fairly faithful rendering of Twilight, especially after Stephenie Meyer told us about the troublesome first attempt to adapt the book. We knew the special effects would be limited by the movie's budget, and we were expecting the necessary plot condensing.
