For those of you asking: "They're making a sequel to Tron?" The answer is "yes." The clunky title of Tr2n was revealed at a Comic-Con in August 2008, when a teaser trailer debuted. Olivia Wilde (TV's House) and Beau Garrett (Turistas) have been added to a cast that includes Jeff Bridges returning to fight the Master Control program (What, Bruce Boxleitner is busy?). In fact, Bridges is not just returning, he's excited. He told the Guardian: "Basically, I'm still a child, I love being childlike, and here was another chance to play with these crazy toys. And the cutting-edge technology makes it exciting."
Tr2n will be shot in 3-D and is set to open sometime in 2011. It will be directed by newcomer Joseph Kosinski and written by Lost producers Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis.
