  • Josh Brolin on Jonah Hex's New Director

Josh BrolinCollider managed to cull an update on Jonah Hex from Milk star Josh Brolin, who's slated to star in the adaptation of the cult fave comic -- if and when the long-delayed project ever does move forward. When asked why Horten Hears a Who! director Jimmy Hayward was chosen to helm the flick, Brolin replied, "He got an e-mail to me somehow, someway. He wasn't somebody we were even beginning to look at and I read the e-mail and was completely blown away by it. I had to meet the guy."

What was contained in said email that "blew away" Brolin is anybody's guess. Perhaps Hayward got his hands on some incriminating photos of the notorious Hollywood badboy and made some veiled threats. Whatever the case, kudos to Jimmy.
