  • Brendan Fraser isn't Gung Ho about his G.I. Joe Cameo

G.I. Joe: The Rise of CobraInkheart actor Brendan Fraser revealed to a roundtable of reporters that he does a gag bit in G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra -- reuniting with his Mummy director Stephen Sommers.

But Fraser was quick to dispel earlier rumors about being resident Marine Gung Ho.

Let me get something straight. I'm not Gung Ho. I don't know what you've read, but that is not the name of my character. If you look him up, with all due respect, he looks like a refugee from the Village People, and, no, I did not attire myself as such. I will tell you that they gave me a really cool motorcycle to ride. It's a sight gag. I show up, and you're supposed to go, 'Hey!'

When an intrepid reporter asked whether that meant he would be playing one of the villainous mercenaries called Dreadnoks, Fraser immediately clammed up, "I'm not talking about that."
