Amanda Peet
-- The Whole Nine Yards, Something's Gotta Give, and Syriana -- is the latest to join Twentieth Century-Fox's upcoming version of Gulliver's Travels. Peet joins a cast that already includes Jason Segel, Emily Blunt, and Jack Black in the title role. She landed the role of Gulliver's editor, who in this version serves as a potential love interest.
This will be the ninth adaptation of Jonathan Swift's literary classic, whether for film or television. Other feature-length versions include the 1939 animated movie, a Columbia Pictures release in 1960, and the 1979 release starring Richard Harris. Production began last month, and the movie is scheduled to open in June 2010.
