Chris Pine and Sam Worthington have something in common other than their respective movies Star Trek and Terminator Salvation opening in May: they have both been mentioned as possible candidates for the lead role in Green Lantern. While no final decision has been made yet, HitFix reports that Bradley Cooper (Wedding Crashers) is a strong contender to wear the green power ring and is pretty close to landing the coveted role.
While some fans may question the choice of the relatively unknown Cooper for a $150 million budgeted blockbuster movie, Cooper may rocket to stardom if his upcoming The Hangover succeeds at the box office this summer.
