  • Danny Huston Joins Robin Hood

Danny Huston has been very busy lately. The X-Men Origins: Wolverine actor, fresh from completing his work as Poseidon in Clash of the Titans, has joined the cast of director Ridley Scott's yet-to-be-titled Robin Hood. Huston will play King Richard, otherwise known as Richard the Lionheart.

While King Richard is often depicted as good in movies about the Robin Hood myth, Scott's version may make the character more historically accurate. Considering King Richard was more interested in the Crusades than he was being King of England, it will be interesting to see how Scott decides to present him. Luckily for Scott, Huston has made a habit of playing both villain and hero.

Scott's Robin Hood movie opens May 14, 2010. Russell Crowe and Cate Blanchett star as Robin Hood and Maid Marion, respectively.
