  • Quileute Nation Welcomes Twilight Fans but Not Cliff Divers

The Twilight Saga: New MoonThe Quileute Nation in western Washington state has seen an influx of tourists that's grown with The Twilight Saga's popularity. In fact, earlier this year the tribe hired a PR firm.

For the most part, the Quileute are happy to have Team Jacob — and even Team Edward — visitors at La Push. But a visitor this week wore out his welcome with an incident that required a full-scale Coast Guard rescue mission. The 22-year-old from Georgia, seeking the site of Bella's cliff diving, had to be air lifted off a 150-foot perch on Little James Island.

There's no statement from the fan, but the Quileute had this to say:

We understand the eagerness of fans to seek out every detail that is a part of the story, but please remember this is a work of fiction.

    Wise words, indeed.
