G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra opens in one week and Paramount Pictures is pulling out all of the stops to try to get people excited for the film, from holding a private screening contest to the (increasingly common) use of a "viral video" to create some buzz.
In this movie clip, a random Joe tests out a Delta 6 Accelerator Suit on a skateboard ramp. Early fan reaction to the movie in general has been critical, citing over-the-top acting and "cartoony" action sequences. This video, while entertaining in concept, may not help the film very much, especially with its choppy special effects.
From producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura, G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra is directed by Stephen Sommers and stars Dennis Quaid as Hawk, Rachel Nichols as Scarlett, Sienna Miller as The Baroness, Joseph Gordon-Levitt as Cobra Commander, and Channing Tatum as Duke.
