  • Eric Bana Won't Appear in Star Trek Sequel

Eric Bana in Star TrekThis may be obvious to those that watched Star Trek, but no amount of movie magic is going to bring Eric Bana back for the Star Trek sequel. Bana confirmed the news himself:

[Star Trek] was a one-shot deal. I had a great time. The whole Star Trek thing has been nothing but a blast and a great, fun ride. Right from the get-go, the shooting, the junket was fun, the touring with a really great cast, great group of people. We had a great time traveling together.

Bana is currently enjoying a "summer of Bana" with three summer movies: Star Trek, Funny People, and The Time Traveler's Wife. The Star Trek sequel is currently being written and may be the start of a two-part story.
