The Hangover, a fresh buddy-road-trip comedy made for $35 million, went on to rake in an incredible $403 million worldwide. With profits like that, it was inevitable that talk would turn to the possibility of a sequel. Break-out funny man Zach Galifianakis confirmed a few weeks ago that a script was being worked on, but had doubts about his participation in The Hangover 2.
I'm not running to do The Hangover 2. I told Todd [Phillips], the last thing I want is the Police Academy chain all of the sudden.... You've got to be careful with something like that. The movie's really good, why bother with a sequel?
While Galifianakis' comments are not exactly a ringing endorsement of a sequel, his co-star, Bradley Cooper, was far more optimistic when he was recently asked about The Hangover 2.
We're actually really excited about the second one. We were talking about it while we were filming the first one 'cause we were having so much fun. Warner Bros. actually wanted to do it before it even came out.
