Surrogates actor Boris Kodjoe recently Tweeted about his casting in Resident Evil: Afterlife, but he was far from done with giving out details about the latest sequel. Kodjoe told BlackFilm plenty of Afterlife details, including what character he would play.
I play the leader of the survivors in LA. Milla Jovovich's character, Alice, is roaming the world looking for survivors and she's wound up in LA, which has been burning for three years. She comes across an LA jail surrounded be these half-dead, uhh... Yeah, they're those monsters, what are they called?
They're called zombies. They're in the previous three movies, in the video games they're based on, and are sort of what the Resident Evil movies are famous for.
Anyway, she comes across the jail and there's a couple of survivors and she lands on top of the roof and partners up with me to fight the guys that are coming after them. We're trying to get all of the survivors out of the jail to safety. We're starting next week, actually.
Kodjoe won't be alone in the jail. He's getting help from another new addition to the Resident Evil acting pool and from a returning actor from Resident Evil: Extinction.
It's gonna be Milla Jovovich, Ali Larter, I'm the new one, and Wentworth Miller is also in the movie. He's the lead in Prison Break. He's playing a guy that we actually locked up when we took over the jail because we weren't sure if he was one of them or not. He comes into play as we try to find a way to get out with our survivors.
Resident Evil: Afterlife starts production in Toronto in a week. Paul W.S. Anderson is directing from his script.
