Last month, X-Men producer Lauren Shuler Donner proclaimed that X-Men Origins: Magneto is the furthest X-Men movie from production, possibly getting made in "five years." Today Magento screenwriter David Goyer told MTV that he agrees with Shuler Donner.
I tend to agree with her. [Fox is] still trying to figure out what they want to do, whether or not they'll do a different X-Men movie next or another Wolverine movie next. If they want to make Magneto, that's awesome. In the meantime, I'm just going to move on with my other projects. Even taking FlashForward aside, I'm booked up for another year and a half. I have no complaints.
Despite the movie's production woes, that hasn't stopped fans from creating a concept trailer that uses footage from all three X-Men movies. Check out what they've dreamed up.
