  • Summit and Stephenie Meyer in Breaking Dawn Talks

Breaking DawnWith the release of the New Moon movie imminent, Stephenie Meyer answered fan questions on her official site, and touched on the question of a Breaking Dawn movie.

On the possibility of a fourth movie she said, "At this point in time, we're in talks. I would love to see BD made if it could be made well. It's a little bit trickier than the others." A "little bit trickier" is an understatement, Mrs. Meyer — surely "almost impossible" would be a better term to use?

With accelerated growth children who kill their mothers, no action, and a plot slower than The Order of the Phoenix, Breaking Dawn could very easily be the end of Meyer's reign of success. We'll have to wait and see if Summit officially announces the movie after New Moon's guaranteed success — after all, Twilight fans are going to need something to keep them going until the Eclipse release in June.

And who knows, maybe a re-worked movie could help the cause. For our thoughts, see Breaking Dawn: Will the Movie Beat the Book?

Come on really are we talking about not making breaking dawn. do u really want to make all the Twilight Fans pissed. Please do u not know how mush of a riot u will have on your hands. As far as making it R. Please look how many ppl let there kids see R movies. or kids that just do it without parents knowing. So what if its R its only going to be because of the blood. HELLLO have we not seen blood and gore and other movies. we have all read the books. Last time I checked most ppl imagine the book in there heads as they read. Come on. and as far as making the movie. Please we are more high tech than ppl are letting on . Where there is a will there is a way. or like I said there will be a riot.

I have to agree with shealee. There are no explicit scences in the book and they should do it AS WRITTEN lest they ruin it! It is perfect as is! Make it two movies if you must but do not butcher it!!! :)( You will have a LOT if pissed off Twilighters if you do, like she said, it has already been imagined. Make it rated "R" if need be, just dont mess up our movie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Rated R or not, DO NOT MESS IT UP PLEASE!!!

The real problem with making it rated R is that Stephanie Meyer is Mormon (LDS). Most of my family, not including myself, is Mormon. They believe that they should not watch movies that are rated R, among other rules (for lack of a better word). Stephanie is probably trying to push for Breaking Dawn to be rated PG-13 so all of her fellow Mormons that love her series, including herself, can watch the movie. But if they put everything she wrote into the movie, I think it would be rated R. I don't understand how she can write everything she wrote and young children can read it, but putting it on a screen would make it too "adult" for children. There has got to be a way to make it PG-13, but still keep the major scene's in it. I know, if I were Stephanie, I would want to be able to watch the movie that was inspired by my book.

rest assured Breaking Dawn will be made, there's no question about this; it would be ridiculous to make 3 movies out of 4 books and just forget about the last one; unthinkable. Most likely they've already finalized this and just can't talk about it. Trust me, filming will start before the end of next year; sure, it'll be tricky; but the budget will be bigger which means more money for the special effects needed. this is a done deal : ).
oh, for all the people giving the New Moon movie a bad review and saying how cheesy it was; it was absolutely cheese; but so is the book...and I loved every second of it

I absolutly think they need to make Breaking Dawn. If they didn't the whole saga would be incomplete. Bella would never be a vampire, she would never marry Edward, and they would never make love and create Reneseme.
Plus Jacob find out that he really fits with Bella, as a family. I love Breaking Dawn it is one of my favorite books, and I would love to see it on the big screen with all the characters playing their fantastic roles. I am sure they can find a way to put all the scenes into the movie, and make in real. I mean the bruises are easy to understand if Edward is feeling horrible, and she tells him that it will get easier everytime. I mean come on if you have read the books then you understand every aspect, so I believe that we need the movie. Plus Rosalie finally bonds with Bella, and that is a definate plus. All the character play great roles int he book and it will be nice to see the Volturi for a bit longer.

well eclipse maybe rated r which i think is very appropiate for the context of the movie. Which i think they will need to do for Breaking dawn. So all the little girls will have to see it with a parent! As far as i can see the fan base is most popular with age 17 and up anyway. i would not let my daughter read the books if she was not in high school, the context is totally inappropiate as the books go on its more for mature audiences to understand and enjoy.

im sry im a lil disappointed, becuz the fan base is all mostly under 13, they will possibly.. elimiate the sex scene and the birthing scene form the movie, which would totally drift from the book and i know i speak for milllllions who have read the book that this cant happen, or they need to create a version for the older audience, or parents need to be open SEXUAL with there children. becuz bookk 4 was the most amazing rap up to this story... i cried and got dpressed when i read the last line in the book, becuz its over thats it.... but it went out perfect.. and it should stick to the book as a whole.. and i really hope it dus
