The Director's Guild of America (DGA) announced the five nominees for the DGA Awards yesterday, and the number of big surprises here is: zero.
Nominees for this year's "outstanding directorial achievement in feature film" are There Will Be Blood, No Country for Old Men, Michael Clayton, Into the Wild, and The Diving Bell and the Butterfly.
We say: as far as these noms go, whither the DGA goes, Oscar may very likely follow. Although we still think Atonement could knock one of them off.
