  • George W to get the Oliver Stone treatment

Political power-movie mogul and conspiracy theorist extraordinaire Oliver Stone has set his sights on a new candidate for his lens - George W. Bush.

Indeed, the man behind JFKAlexander and Nixon is in the process of securing funding for Bush, a movie about George W., with Josh Brolin attached to play the lead. Stone's next project was originally supposed to be Pinkville, about the massacre at My Lai, but that project was halted due to the writers' strike. Bush, however, can go forward because the script was complete before the strike (Pinkville still needs revisions).

Reports are that Stone is trying to get production in gear by the spring so that the movie can hit theaters in time for the November election.

We are very intrigued to see how Stone paints the POTUS.
