William Monahan, writer of The Departed and possibly its 
sequel/prequel follow-up, is hard at work on the script for Body of Lies, which is slated as director Ridley Scott's next project.
Variety reports today that Leonardo DiCaprio has inked a deal to play the lead role in the film.
According to Variety, "DiCaprio will play an ex-journalist-turned CIA agent who's sent to Amman to work with Jordan's intelligence chief to track an Al Qaeda leader rumored to be planning attacks against America."
