A documentary profiling the life and career of Motorhead's legendary bass-playing frontman Lemmy Kilmister is currently in the works, says The Hollywood Reporter. The film is slated for a 2009 release and will include tributes from assorted rock luminaries, including Slash, Alice Cooper, Steve Vai, Dave Grohl, Mick Jones and for some reason wrestler Triple H.
Sporting a trademark handlebar mustache and warbling raspy vocals into a microphone stationed a foot above his head, Kilmister propelled Motorhead to heavy metal greatness in the '70s and '80s with hits like "Ace of Spades" and "Hellraiser." He was reportedly the primary inspiration for Harry Shearer's Derek Smalls character in the 1984 mocumentary classic This is Spinal Tap.
