20th Century Fox to Remake Girls Just Want to Have Fun, Miley Cyrus May Star

Variety reported yesterday that 20th Century Fox plans to remake Girls Just Want to Have Fun, the 1985 movie that starred Sarah Jessica Parker, Helen Hunt, and Shannen Doherty. The new version, which may star Miley Cyrus, will retain elements of the original story, which involved two high school girls (Parker and Hunt) who share a love for dancing and try to make it big on Dance TV. Michelle Morgan will pen the script. [more]
