Talks for Nicolas Cage to join the cast of Brian De Palma's Untouchables prequel have fallen through.
As we previously reported, 
Cage was in negotiations to star as the young Al Capone in The Untouchables: Capone Rising. According to Variety, Cage will not be taking on the project as a result of scheduling issues.
However, 300 badass Gerard Butler has joined the cast as Jimmy Malone (the Sean Connery part). Do you think he'll show his abs?

Variety.com is reporting that Nicolas Cage is in talks to star in a potential prequel to Brian De Palma's 1987 The Untouchables.
The movie, which will be called The Untouchables: Capone Rising, will again be directed by De Palma. It is said to tell the story of Capone's rise to power.
The big question on everyone's lips, though, is, will it include Geraldo?
