The Fisher King covers the whole range of human emotions dealing with life, love, success, failure, and resolution for the choices we make. The Grand Central station scene alone is one of the greatest ever filmed. As the charachters enter the rush hour crowded rail station, director Gilliam flawlessly morphs the chaos into a beautifully choreographed Struass waltze and then back to harsh reality. The whole film, like this one great scene, presents life as a choice between the dream we want to live and the reality we choose to accept.
