In the tradition of Cheech and Chong's Up in Smoke and Half Baked, Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle found a loyal audience of stoners back in 2004. The flick didn't really catch on until DVD (guess it's hard to get stoners out to the theater) but since has become a very quotable classic of the genre.
Now the duo of Kal Penn and John Cho (and of course Neil Patrick Harris as Neil Patrick Harris) return. This time, the stakes have been upped. Instead of just searching for some tasty White Castle burgers, the duo now have to escape from Guantanamo Bay. Our resident stoner movie officianado, Heather Huntington, has thefull Harold & Kumar Escape From Guantanamo Bay Review!

With their 2004 sleeper hit Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle now a certified cult classic, screenwriters Hayden Schlossberg and Jon Hurwitz have finally gotten around to penning a sequel. In an interview with our favorite mensch, jewreview.net's Shmuel Reuven, they revealed the plot details of Harold & Kumar 2:
"Kumar brings this device on the plane that allows him to get high in the bathroom while no one is watching and no one will smell the smoke. This device kind of looks like a bomb - or at least to some of the passengers on the plane who are uncomfortable about sitting next to an Indian guy to begin with. They see him with this device and somebody yells, 'Terrorist,' and the next thing you know, there's air marshals all over them. They just assume they'll just get out of it because they did nothing wrong; without any trial or anything, they end up in Guantanamo Bay."
Look for Harold & Kumar 2 sometime next year.
