Good Night, and Good Luck is a spectacular film. It gives Clooney the respect he deserves not just as a great American actor, but a great American filmmaker. The moderately star-studded cast deliver great performances. Too often a film based on true events tends to sway more toward hollywood than historical fact. Good Night, and Good Luck on the other hand, stays true to it's historical roots in American History while managing to entertain and keep the viewer's focus like a Hollywood film would. Due to the constant diologue exchanges in this movie, I strongly suggest anybody who needs constant explosions and death-defying stunts to hold thier attention to look elsewhere because you will be terribly dissappointed. Theres more action at a funeral than than this movie. But that doesn't mean its boring, which is a completely different adjective. Another cool aspect of the film is the fact that the entire movie was shot in Black and White (An excellent choice by Clooney I might add). It gives it a very cool vintage realistic feel to it. together with great acting, writing, directing, format, and accuratation of the times, Good Night ,and Good Luck is an outstanding American Film achievement.
