MOVIE NEWS

Wednesday, May 9

  • Looks like greed really is good.

Drunken stockbrokers everywhere rejoice! According to our friends at Yahoo! news, after 20 years of waiting, a sequel to Wall Street is on the filming docket.

Yes, indeed, Mr. Typecast-as-the-white-collar-man-who-engages-in-inappropriate-sex himself, Michael Douglas will be reprising his role as Gordon Gecko, who evidently now works in the world of hedge fundery. The sequel is to be called Money Never Sleeps, which anyone who has peered into their wallet at 2AM knows is very true.

Conspiracy theorist Oliver Stone, who directed Wall Street, will not be directing the sequel. He is probably too busy compiling his masterpiece Alexander 34: Please Love Me.
