Familiarity, it seems, is the spice of life for Jason Statham. When he isn't collaborating with fellow Brit Guy Ritchie, everyone's favorite second-tier action star is busy making sequels to his previous works. Today, Variety reports that Statham has signed on for Transporter 3, the latest chapter in the ongoing saga of of badass Eurotrash courier Frank Martin. Louis Leterrier, the French director who helmed the first two Transporter flicks, won't be returning for a third round of car chases and gunfights, however. Instead, the aptly-named Olivier Megaton has been placed in charge of choreographing the chaos.
This April, Statham begins production on Crank 2: High Voltage, the follow-up to Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor's non-stop video game action flick Crank.
