The Graduate

This was a waste of great music. What is really eerie is that the music doesn't match the scenes, nor does it contrast the scenes with irony. It is totally inept mixing.
The characters are not interesting at all. The Graduate himself makes no sense. He beds a woman and her daughter, which makes a great five second crap room joke, but fails miserably as a full lenth movie. Add to this that he is "angry" for no reason. Take it from a guy with sexual exploits, we don't get mad when this happens. Totally a flop.

This is a great movie. Dustin Hoffman's character, Benjamin, is consistently undermined throughout the movie, but as the movie goes on he becomes more secure and takes control and doesn't all people, like his parents or Mrs. Robinson, to ...(Read full post...)
