Are you ready for some dystopian Denzel?
Variety reports that the Training Day Oscar winner has signed on for Book of Eli, in which he’ll play the “lone hero in a not-too-distant
apocalyptic future who must fight across America to bring society the knowledge that could
be the key to its redemption.”
Directed by the Hughes
Brothers (From Hell), Book of Eli differs dramatically from other post-apocalyptic
thrillers in that its vision of the future will be bleak and dismal -- a far cry from the blissful, carefree utopias showcased in recent movies like I Am Legend and Children of Men.
Book of Eli is slated to begin shooting in January.
