Horrible. Watched to end just to see if anything interesting happened at the end. Not worth 2 hours of your time.

  The brilliantly-conceived plotline of this little I.Q. dropper revolves around the fact that Charlie (Dane Cook) has the bad luck of sleeping with a lot of women who wind up marrying the next guy they land in the sack with. This would be all right with the womanzing Chuck if it weren't for the fact that he has fallen for the so-cute-she'll-turn-your-stomach Cam (Jessica Alba), a penguin-loving little hottie who's never done the dirty deed. Now Charlie must find a way to assure he can sleep with her more than once and maybe even spend ever after with her.
  
  If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all, right? Well, for the men, Good Luck Chuck has a nice compilation of boob shots courtesy of a sex-filled montage when Charlie enjoys his newfound powers.
  
  Of course, to get to those few moments of enjoyable titillation, you've got to sit through the rest of this simply horrible movie. Wait, horrible isn't strong enough. It's atrocious, appallingly bad, lousy, stupid, awful and any other synonym you can think of.
  
  Despite the fact that Dane Cook isn't really funny in anything he does (see Waiting, Employee of the Month) this one really takes the cake. Poorly acted (I'm talking to you, Ms. Alba), poorly directed, poorly written. Good Luck Chuck does indeed suck.

DVD Tuesday

It's a less-than-stellar DVD Tuesday this week, with a pair of underwhelming comedies, the Jessica Alba/Dane Cook rom-com Good Luck Chuck and the Billy Bob Thornton flop Mr. Woodcock making their debuts on home video. Also arriving on DVD shelves are The Ten, Raising Flagg and He Was a Quiet Man.

Our recommendation for this week is the Blu-ray version of Good Luck Chuck. It may not make you laugh, but at least you'll be treated to some HD Jessica Alba (or Dane Cook, if that's your thing).

Weekend Box Office Report: Rock rules over The Kingdom; no Love for Feast

Despite mostly negative reviews, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson's family comedy The Game Plan reigned supreme at the box office, raking in $22.7 million over the weekend, boxofficemojo.com reports. Jamie Foxx's political thriller The Kingdom came in second with a respectable $17.7 million, while Resident Evil: Extinction grabbed the third spot with an $8 million tally. Rounding out the top five were Good Luck Chuck and 3:10 to Yuma, with grosses of $6.3 million and $4.2 million, respectively.

The big loser of the weekend was Feast of Love, which limped to a lowly $1.8 million gross, despite opening in over 1,000 theaters. Ouch.
