You'd think even a comedian would have the decorum to dress appropriately for a tour of the White House. Not so, in the case of British actor Rickey Gervais (The Office). When filming Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian, Gervais and the film's star, Ben Stiller, were invited on the tour at the last minute. Apparently, Gervais had already sent his business attire out to be laundered, so he showed up for the historic meeting in his pajamas.
Stiller was not amused. In a recent interview, Stiller said:
They told us to dress business. I wore a suit and tie. And Ricky Gervais, British Ricky Gervais, shows up in a black t-shirt and draw string yoga pants. It's very beyond casual, like ready to meditate or something. And then he's running around like, "Oh, this is where our American president lives! Where's the dog?"
Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian also stars Amy Adams as Amelia Earhart, Owen Wilson as Jedediah, Robin Williams as Teddy Roosevelt, Hank Azaria as Pharaoh Kahmunrah, Christopher Guest as Ivan the Terrible, and Steve Coogan as Octavius, and Dick Van Dyke as Cecil Fredericks.

When Night at the Museum debuted in late 2006, no one -- including the star, Ben Stiller -- thought it would turn into a colossal hit, but $250M-plus later it has proven that family comedies can stand up to heavyweight genre pictures. With numbers like that, it's no surprise that 20th Century Fox decided to go back for another.
In Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian, Stiller returns as Larry Daley, now an inventor and entrepreneur, rather than a night security guard. However, when Daley's friends are moved into federal storage at the Smithsonian Institution, he is called on to help out against the second coming of Pharaoh Kahmunrah (Hank Azaria), who plans to take over the world.
All of Daley's friends -- Robin Williams and Owen Wilson reprise their roles as Teddy Roosevelt and Jedediah, respectively, among others -- are back, and we get to meet many new faces, as well. This time around, Stiller's character has a love interest in the form of Amy Adams as Amelia Earhart. So, how does one go about introducing a romance between a man and, well, a mannequin? Stiller told Entertainment Weekly:
We constantly wrestled with "How much of a relationship with a wax dummy is he going to have?" We had to figure out how to resolve that.

Ben Stiller returns as Larry Daley, the bumbling-but-loveable night security guard at the Museum of Natural History from Night at the Museum. This time around, Daley has given up his night job to become an inventor. But, when his diminutive friends are shipped off to the Smithsonian Institution, it's Daley to the rescue!
Shawn Levy produces and directs Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian, with Owen Wilson and Robin Williams reprising their roles as Jedediah and Teddy Roosevelt, respectively. The film also stars Amy Adams as Amelia Earhart, Hank Azaria as Pharaoh Kahmunrah, and Christopher Guest as Ivan the Terrible.
Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian is the first movie ever granted permission to film in the Smithsonian complex. In addition to the all-star cast, there are famous paintings, statues, historical figures, and pop-culture icons galore -- from August Rodin's The Thinker to Star Wars' Darth Vader.
