• Box Office Report: Shia on Fire

  Can anyone stop the box office juggernaut that is Shia LaBeouf? His Rear Window remake Disturbia topped the box office for the second week in a row with a tally of $13.5 million, according to boxofficemojo.com, continuing its improbable run.

  The courtroom thriller Fracture took in $11.2 million to lead all new releases. Blades of Glory once again led all comedies with a tally of $7.8 million, while the lightly-publicized horror flick Vacancy raked in just $7.6 million. Rounding out the top five with a $7 million take was Meet the Robinsons.

  Opening in just 825 theaters, our beloved Hot Fuzz took in $5.8 million -- a whopping $7,075 per theater average. Look for Hot Fuzz to get a wider release soon.

• Feel the Fuzz

  For many movie fans, the phrase "British comedy" invokes terrifying images of sappy romantic comedies starring an endlessly stammering Hugh Grant. This week, the Shaun of the Dead gang returns to blast that stereotype to pieces with Hot Fuzz, the first great comedy not involving Will Ferrell since The 40-Year-Old Virgin.

  Inspired by Lethal Weapon, Point Break and other action flicks from the 80s and 90s, Hot Fuzz is a hilarious breath of fresh air for those of us who feared that the success of Wild Hogs signaled the death of humor.

• Can't Wait for Hot Fuzz? Go to a Hot Fuzztival.

  Edgar Wright, Simon Pegg and Nick Frost (aka the team that brought you Shaun of the Dead) is coming out with Hot Fuzz, a comedic send-up of cop/action movies, that opens in theaters on April 20th.

  To promote the movie, "Hot Fuzztivals" with Q&As with the Hot Fuzz team, rare theatrical prints, screenings of cop movie classics and advance screenings of Hot Fuzz are happening in select US cities.
